Interview on water problems in
Toubab Dialaw, Senegal
Senegal TV interview 2015
Open hand dug wells are not the answer to clean
drinkable water, in fact animals like mice and birds
can fall in and drown. This causes sickness and
death. Our solutions are simple and sustainable for
clean healthy water. In my travels across Senegal,
this was a common practice.
I took this shot while I spent a month in
Senegal, open well in use
Our solution
Here is a 200 foot well I drilled next to the
solar pressure switch and this keeps a
3,000 gallon cistern filled with water. As
you can see, the line is bellow ground and
the well is capped and animal proof!
Because the well is deep, the water is not
subject to dirty shallow surface water. The
pump and system is simple and easy to
service. Fresh water is available 24 hours
a day 7 days a week. This well has been in
service for over 10 years problem free.
We wish to thank our partners below in putting an end to this disaster through
spreading the word, and making usable contributions to this effort to end the crisis.

for the water project including construction materials,
local labor, sample testing and training for local

the wells. The drill rig will be left with a local trained crew.
Project Description
Global Vision in partnership with Outback Energy Systems,
